Man Accused Of Fatally Stabbing Cousin In Hauppauge, Then Assaulting Cousin's Girlfriend

A Long Island man has been apprehended after authorities say he fatally stabbed his cousin and injured his cousin’s girlfriend.

Wilson Felipe Andrade-Molina, age 37, stabbed his cousin, Luis Miguel Andrade-Cando, at their place of employment, located on Oser Avenue in Hauppauge, at approximately 7:30 a.m. Thursday, March 30, Suffolk County Police said.

Andrade-Molina, of Brentwood, then drove to Charter Oaks Avenue in Brentwood and stabbed Andrade-Cando’s girlfriend at approximately 8:05 a.m., according to police.

Police located Andrade-Molina on Gibson Street and Bay Avenue in Bay Shore at approximately 8:50 a.m. and placed him in custody.

Andrade-Cando, age 38, of Charter Oaks Avenue in Brentwood, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His 46-year-old girlfriend, of the same address, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where she was listed in critical but stable condition.

Andrade-Molina was charged with:

  • Second-degree murder,
  • First-degree assault.

He is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday, March 31.
